Let’s face it, we all wish we could get the top brands for our children’s luscious locks, but it is not always practical.
I have written some pretty in depth blogs about biracial hair care, but some of the products are really pricey. Since I sold my business and went back into customer service I have really had to cut some corners. Let me tell you how I went from spending almost $100 a month to spending around $25 from shampoo to finish on hair care. If you are wondering how the products work the photo speaks for itself, and this was taken after a full day of summer play!
If you are like me then every now and then you can splurge on the good stuff, but you need those practical products for the in between times. I use Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo And Conditioner or the Curl Hydration line.
I wash her hair twice. Once gets most of the build up out, and the last wash really cleans her hair. I put the conditioner in her hair and leave it from two to five minutes while she plays in the tub.
After a good rinse I blot her hair dry with a towel, and add a generous amount of the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner seen below. After a thorough comb or “hard brush” brush out I braid her hair back for the night. Yes, I have broken the cardinal rule and use a hard plastic bristle brush, and her hair is just fine.
When I take her hair down the next morning it is still damp. I add a bit more leave in conditioner, some curl cream and the curl scrunch gel. I style it from there.
Garnier Fructis also has mousse and shine sprays or serums, but the ones seen above are my base products. They work wonders! It took me a long time to get the right product line for my new budget, and I am very pleased with the results. I do not feel I am sacrificing quality at all.
Charliegh like ponytails. I use a tad bit of the Curl Scrunch Gel around her hairline to prevent flyaways. That’s it. I am spending around $25 a month when times are tight, and her hair still looks amazing. ~ by Spring Lee
